  • 5 tablespoons rice flour
  • 500 ml (2 cups) water
  • 100g (1/2 cup) dried yellow split-peas
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 250 ml (1 cup) oil for deep frying

Directions

Soak the split-peas overnight. The next day, mix the rice flour and water, then add and stir in the split-peas and salt. In a saucepan or wok, heat the oil for deep-frying. Using a spoon, scoop into the mixture and drop it in the pan. Drop several scoops and deep-fry them until they turn crisp. Drain on absorbent paper and let cool before serving.
