Let butter sit in room temperature. Preheat oven to 300°F. Cream butter and sugar until it has the consistency of whipped cream. Add sugar, salt and flour. Mix well. Take the mixture onto a lightly floured surface and roll to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into small squares or circles, or into any shapes using a cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes or until they turn light brown.
