Directions

Combine beer, onions, celery, salt, peppercorns, bay leaves, and garlic in a saucepan, over a moderate flame.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add shrimp, return to the boil, remove from heat, cover, and allow shrimp to cool in liquid.

Chill for 1-96 hours.

Serve slightly chilled.
