  • 1 5/8-ounce package onion soup mix
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 4-ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 3 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cooked green peas
  • 2 tablespoons diced pimiento

Directions

Combine ground beef and soup mix. Form into 12 patties. Brown on each side in oil; drain off excess fat. Add mushrooms, tomatoes, rice, broth and salt. Heat to boiling. Cover; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Add peas and pimiento and cook until heated through.
