Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups oats
- 1 ½ cups dried cherries
- 1 cup chocolate chips

1.Beat margarine, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.

2.Mix in eggs and vanilla, beating well.

3.Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to egg mixture.

4.Stir in oats, cherries, and chocolate chips.

5.Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

6.Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.

7.Let cool 1 minute, then remove to wire racks to cool.
