Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • 4 tbsp medium oatmeal
  • ½ tbsp bacon fat
  • pinch of salt

Directions

Melt the fat in the water, and then sprinkle in the oatmeal.

Knead for several minutes.

Roll out on a floured board with oatmeal, rolling very thin.

Cut into large or small rounds as desired.

Bake on a moderately hot griddle or thick frying pan for about ten minutes.

Allow to harden in a warm place.
