  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1 can tomatoes (16 oz)
  • 1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
  • ¼ tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1½ tbsp fiery chili powder
  • ½ tbsp ground cumin
  • ½ tbsp ground oregano
  • ½ tbsp paprika
  • ½ tbsp ground cloves
  • ½ tbsp ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • ½ cup dry red wine
  • 1 can (29 oz) kidney beans, drained

Directions

Pour oil in skillet.

Add meat and brown with garlic.

Transfer meat to large pot.

Add remaining ingredients except wine and beans.

Simmer for 1 hour.

Add water occasionally if needed.

Add wine land beans, simmer for 15 minutes more.
