Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 2 c. hot water
- 3 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

Soak raisins in hot water and soda all night. Drain.

Add sugars, oil, salt, flour, vanilla and nuts.

Grease and flour 3 (1 pound) coffee cans.

Divide mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand in cans for 1 hour before removing.
