Ingredients

  • Fat bacon , chopped
  • Cubed cooked beef
  • Cornmeal mush
  • 1 qt water
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)

Directions

Put bacon into a hot iron skillet , and fry the grease out of it.

Add the beef, then slowly add 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil .

Add cornmeal mush and stir until dry.

Remove skillet from fire, and let cool.

Serve warm, like hash .
