Ingredients
- 3 large bunches of sweet potato greens (see notes)
- Vegetable oil
- 2 big onions , neatly chopped
- 2 lbs meat, cut into medium cubes
- Seasoned salt to taste
- Onion powder to taste
- Chicken bouillon cubes , crushed
- Ground red or black pepper to taste
Directions
Wash the potato greens very well, and remove the leaves from the stems. Chop the leaves into small pieces and set aside.
Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a large pot. Add the onions and meat, and cook until almost done. Remove from the pot and set aside.
Add the potato greens, and fry for about 15 minutes or until tender. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
Add enough water to cover the greens, and season to taste with salt, onion powder, bouillon cubes, and ground pepper.
Cook over medium heat until all the water is gone, stirring frequently.
Remove from the heat and serve.
