Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups (560 ml / 19 oz ) water , warm or room temperature
  • 2¾ cups (650 ml / 625 g / 1.38 lb ) white granulated sugar
  • 1 oz (30 ml / 28 g) orange juice concentrate or orange syrup
  • Carbonated water , as needed

Directions

Combine the water and sugar in a 2-quart or larger saucepan.

Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves into a syrup, then remove from the heat.

Stir the orange juice concentrate into the syrup.

Using a funnel , transfer the syrup to an empty bottle and let it cool.

To make the finished syrup, mix one volume of syrup with one volume of carbonated water.
