Directions
One cup butter, two level cups sugar (put in one-fourth of it at a time), four eggs. Beat yolks to a cream then beat into the butter and sugar. Add one cup milk, one and one-half tea- spoons vanilla, three level cups flour, two level teaspoons bak- ing powder. Beat all well. Add one and one-half cups Eng- lish walnuts chopped fine.
