One quart of flour, two teaspoons of Royal Baking Pow- der, piece of butter size of egg rubbed into the flour. Meas- ure one of sugar, putting two-thirds of it into the flour ; mix with milk or milk and water ; roll out until one-half inch in thickness. Spread the remainder of the sugar and cinna- mon on and roll up like jelly cake, cutting oft in pieces one- half inch in thickness. One egg is an improvement, but it can be made without.
