  • a pint of milk

Take one pint of mashed i)otatoes which have just been cooked. Mix them with a pint of milk, two eggs (beaten) and a tablespoonful of butter. When luke-warm, add one-third of a cake of compressed yeast and enough flour to make it rather stiff. Let rise, and form into cakes. Let them rise again then bake until brown.
