Put a teaspoonful of butter in a sauce pan on the stove, add a teaspoonful of flour, stirring well, pour over this a cup of cream, add a pinch of salt, a heaping tablespoonful of sugar, boil until the flour is cooked, about two minutes; take off the stove and add a glass of wine. Very nice for boiled rice, apple dumpling or plain pudding.
