Directions
Two cups flour, four teaspoons baking powder, two teaspoons shortening, one-half cup sugar, one-half cup raisins, one-half cup currants, nutmeg grated, one egg, one-half cup milk. Mix dry ingredients, cut the shorten- ing in this, add fruit, beat whole egg and add milk to it. Combine the two mixtures as in baking powder biscuit.
