Directions
To a small head of red cabbage which has been cut as for slaw, prepare a dressing of one good sized onion, large tablespoon of bacon drippings, one cup of water, one-half cup of vinegar. Add cabbage, season with salt and pepper to suit the taste, cook in fireless cooker over night, or five hours will do ; on gas on slow flame about two hours.
