Directions
COCOANUT CUSTARD PIE— Six level tablespoons flour, two level tablespoons shortening, pinch of salt, pinch of baking powder and enough cold water (about two tablespoons) to make a dough stiff enough to roll out. Sift dry ingredients, chop in the shortening, then add water, mix quickly, handling as little as possible. Line pie tin with pastry. Custard : Two eggs, two cups milk, pinch salt, one- fourth cup sugar, one-half teaspoon vanilla, beat well, add one-half cup shredded cocoanut, pour into crust and bake until custard is set.
