- one-half cup of sugar that has been mixed well

Directions
GRAPE FILLING — Remove skins and stew pulp of grapes ten minutes. Put through colander to remove seeds. Then mix skins and pulp together and let boil five minutes. For one pie use one cup of grape mixture, stir in one-half cup of sugar that has been mixed well with one tablespoon of flour, two yolks beaten well, boil until thick and set aside to cool. Fill baked crust with mixture, cover with stiffly beaten whites to which has been added one tablespoon of powdered sugar and brown lightly.
