Directions
SPICE CAKE — Two cups sugar, one-half cup butter, three eggs, one cup sour cream, two and one-half cups flour, three teaspoons bak- ing powder, one-half teaspoon each, cloves, cinnamon and ginger, two- thirds cup currants or raisins, one-half cup walnut meats. Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour, baking powder and spices, adding the cream and the flour mixture alternately and lastly the raisins and nuts rolled in flour. Bake in a moderate oven in a well-greased shallow pan.
