ORANGE LAYER CAKE — Five yolks, two cups powdered sugar, juice of one orange, grated rind of one orange, two cups flour, one teaspoon baking powder, whites of three eggs, one-half cup water. Beat yolks until thick and creamy, add sugar and beat again. Then add water, orange juice and part of the grated rind and the flour sifted three times with the baking powder. Lastly fold in the beaten whites of three eggs; bake in layers in a moderate oven. Icing: Whites of two eggs beaten stiff, powdered sugar to spread and the rest of the grated rind of orange.
