Sift flour and sugar before measuring, then take one tumbler of flour, one and a half tumblers of pulverized sugar and one tea- spoon of cream tartar. Mix the above thoroughly and sift into a bowl; beat the whites of ten eggs with one spoonful of vanilla to a stiff froth and pour over the flour, mixing as lightly as possible. Bake in a moderate oven.
