To a half box of Cox's gelatine put one pint of cold water; let it stand ten minutes; then add one pint of boiling water and one cup of sugar; flavor with lemon or acid; boil it three or four min- utes, then let it cool, and slowly stir in the yolks of three eggs well beaten; again set on the stove and let it come to a boil; then stir in the whites, beaten to a froth, and turn into a mold.
