Take the pie plant when young and juicy, cut it up, add a lit- tle water and boil till tender, being careful not to scorch it. Strain through a flannel bag, without squeezing; add lemons to suit the taste, and to three pints of juice put two pounds of sugar. Boil until it jellies nicely.
