Beat the white of one ^^^ to a stiff froth, put it into a bowl and add a teaspoon of fine sugar, one tablespoon of wine or bran- dy and a half glass of milk; beat well together. This is very nourishing.
ARROWROOT.
Mix one teaspoonful in cold water and pour into boiling water; add a little salt and sweeten to the taste. Some think a little lemon juice or nutmeg an improvement.
