  • half pint of alcohol
  • three large potatoes

Grate two or three large potatoes and add one pint of soft wa- ter; let it stand one hour, pour off the liquid and strain it through a sieve; put in a half pint of alcohol and it is ready for use. Apply the liquid with a clean sponge, rubbing the soiled part well; fold and iron. Be careful not to have the irons too hot.
