Put the pruues on in clear water and boil until soft, then take them out, and while warm, pour enough Madeira wine over (sweeten wine a little) to make a little syrup, as much as you wish ; froth the whites of seven eggs, in which put as much sugar as for icing ; put the prunes in a baking dish, smooth icing over them, and set in a moderate oven to brown slightly. —Mrs. Taylor.
