Directions
Three pounds of acid apples, pared and quartered ; two lem- ons sliced with peeling on, two pounds of sugar ; cover well witli water, and boil until the apples look clear ; lift them out to cool ; add one ounce of dissolved gelatine to the syrup, when it boils ; take out and strain over the applej, and put in a cool place.
