Ingredients
- one pint of alcohol
- one fourth ounce of oil of sassafras
- an ounce of wintergreen
- one fourth of an ounce of wintergreen

When fermentation begins, draw the cider off, and rinse the barrel ; strain through a flannel cloth and return. Put into one pint of alcohol, one fourth ounce of oil of sassafras and one fourth of an ounce of wintergreen. Shake well and put in the cider, — Mrs. Dam.
