Directions
One tablespoonful flour: i tablespoonful sugar; salt spoon mus- tard; l/2 cup vinegar: i tablespoonful butter; i egg; salt spoon salt; l/2 cup water. Boil in double boiler, add }4 can evaporated milk or cream. This is fine for slaw or fruit salad ; if used for potato salad or meat, omit sugar. Increased four times will cover an apple and celery salad for thirty-two persons.
