- one gallon linseed oil
- one pound spanish brown
- two pounds sienna powder
- one ounce litharge
- one pint of turpen- tine

One gallon linseed oil, one pound Spanish brown, two pounds sienna powder, one ounce litharge, half an ounce lampblack. Boil the mixture, and add one pint of turpen- tine. Apply with a brush like paint.
