- 2 tablespoons of melted butter to a pint of apples
- 2 tablespoons sugar

Directions
Peel, core and slice apples sufficient to fill a baking dish. Butter the dish thickly, and put in the apples in layers alternately wiih stale cake crumbs and a little melted butter. 2 tablespoons of melted butter to a pint of apples. Let the last layer be a thick one of cake crumbs, then put in a moderately hot oven, until apples are tender, then beat together 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons sugar, more if r.pples are very tart. Add I cup of cream, pour it over the puddiug. Return to the oven until the pudding is a rich golden color. Serve with cream.
