Directions
2 eggs, I cup sugar, i cup flour, i]^ teaspoons baking powder, 3 tablespoons water. Bake in a dripping pan, spread with jelly, before cake is cold. Roll quickly.

QUEEN CAKE
^ pound shortening, {l4 pound butter, y^ pound lard,) I pound sugar, i pound eggs, (9,) i cup milk, 5 cups flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, % pound citron sliced thin and floured Will make two very large loaves, or three fair sized. If fruit is desired, take one pound of mixed raisins, currants and citron, leaving out the % pound citron in the above rule.
