- 2 gallons w^ater scalded to dissolve the salt

I quart of rock salt, i gallon vinegar 2 gallons w^ater scalded to dissolve the salt. Cool, and throw in cucumbers as they are picked. When wanted for use put into spiced vinegar. They will keep a long time in this preparation.
