Rind of 2 lemons, chopped fine, and the juice of i lemon.

I pound of English walnuts, chopped.
Vv^'ash and drj^ currants; seed raisins, chop them, and also the suet, fine; slice citron and orange peel very fine; grate nutmeg; pare and core the apples and chop fine; strain the lemon juice. Mix all well together, adding the brandy. Place the mixture in a jar, carefully excluding the air, and it will be ready for use in a few days.
