Ingredients
- half cup good yeast
- two tablespoons molasses
- one tea- spoon salt
Directions
1
A pint warm water, half cup good yeast, one tea- spoon salt, two tablespoons molasses, buckwheat flour enough to make a thin batter; set in a warm place and let rise over night ; if you have them every morning, save a little of the batter to start with instead of yeast. They will be nicer in a week than when first started. Never add more flour in the morning. If the batter is sour, add a teaspoon soda, stir in and fry at once.
