Drain dry, make a batter of soiir milk, eggs and soda, stir pretty thick with flour ; roll each oyster in the batter until well covered and fry in butter.

fifteen minutes, season with salt and pepper, mould into small cakes with one or two oysters in each, roll in dry cracker until well incrusted. Fry to a nice brown in hot lard and butter or beef drippings. Serve hot and keep in a covered dish. This is a good way to use small oysters.
