1 cup sugar. 2 tablespoons milk.
1 cup butter. 1 tablespoon caraway seed,
cups bread flour. % teaspoon soda.
2 eggs. Few grains salt.
Beat butter until creamy, then add the sugar gradually, while beating constantly. Add 1 egg, unbeaten. Continue the beating and add another egg, then add soda dissolved in the milk, then salt, flour, and caraway seed. Toss on a floured board and roll % inch in thickness. Bake in moderate oven.
