Directions
Take large sized oysters, drain and dry ; dip in fine cracker dust seasoned with salt and pepper, then in beaten egg, then again in cracker dust. Drop in boiling hot lard or fry in butter.

OYSTER PIE. Make two rich crusts, bake them with a cloth between to hold up the upper crust. Stew the oysters, lastly, beat in two eggs, and a spoonful of cracker crumbs. Lift the top crust and pour oysters in.
