Directions
Soak 2 fjts. old bread in H cups warm water and put through colander; add 1 cup dark molasses. 1 teaspoon salt and i/l> yeast cake dissolved in i/4 cup tepid water; sift in enough wheat flour until stiff enough to mould on board ; knead thirty minutes ; return to bowl ; let rise very light again ; shape into two loaves ; place in tins ; let rise once more and then bake one hour in a moderate oven.
