Directions
Put 1 pt. of sifted flour into a bowl ; rub into it a piece of but- ter the size of an egg; add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 heaping teaspoon of baking powder and sufficient milk to moisten — about i/o cup ; mix quickly; take out; roll into a sheet 14 of an inch thick; cut into cakes with a' round biscuit cutter; put about 3 strawberries into each cake; fold them over neatly and steam twenty minutes: serve Avith straw- berry sauce.
