Directions

2 eggs; y^ doz. lady fingers;

Sugar; Jelly or preserves;

2 tablespoons cornstarch; Nuts;

vanilla; Cream 1 qt. milk;

Beat the eggs with a little milk. Mix cornstarch with a lit- tle water. Mix the two with a quart of milk and cook all slowly in a double boiler, stirring to prevent lumping. When well cooked, remove from fire and add sugar and vanilla to taste. While this mixture cools, crumb the stale lady fingers into a dessert dish. Spread with pineapple jelly or preserves. Pour mixture over this and sprinkle a thick layer of chopped nuts over top of the pudding. May be eaten with or without cream. Delicious !
