TO BAKE CHICKEN

Use a young tender hen. Stuff with rich bread dress- ing and truss. Put two or three slices of pork in pan, lay hen on top of this. Put in oven and cook until tender. Put a little water in pan for basting and rub butter over fowl. Serve with gravy made from drippings. If fat hen add more liquid.
