Directions
2 eggs 6 ozs. sugar 6 ozs. flour J lb- butter

3 teaspoonful baking powder A few currants
Put sugar and butter in a basin and beat to a cream; add yolks of eggs, beat well; add milk and mix well; stir in flour essence of lemon; whites stiffly beaten; lastly add baking powder.
