Ingredients
- one ounce of lard
- two ounces of lard
- one ounce of lard together
- an ounce of camphor
- four drachms of sublimed sulphur
- two drachms of sulphuric acid together
- one drachm of ioduret of zinc
Directions
3080. These remedies are used as topical applications to parts, generally ulcers, and are usually spread upon linen or other materials.
3081. _Camphorated._--Mix half an ounce of camphor with one ounce of lard, having, of course, previously powdered the camphor.
3082. Used as a discutient and stimulant in indolent tumors.
3083. _Chalk._--Mix as much prepared chalk as you can into some lard, so as to form a thick ointment.
3084. Use as an application to burns and scalds.
3085. _For Itch._--Mix four drachms of sublimed sulphur, two ounces of lard, and two drachms of sulphuric acid together. This is to be rubbed into the body.
3086. _For Scrofulous Ulcerations._--Mix one drachm of ioduret of zinc and one ounce of lard together.
3087. Use twice a day in the ulcerations.
