Ingredients
- layer cake (any flavor)
- mashed preserved strawberries (drained of juice)
- lightly whipped sweetened cream
- large strawberries (for garnish)
Directions

Bake any nice layer cake.

Spread mashed preserved strawberries between the layers.

Top the cake with lightly whipped sweetened cream.

Garnish with large strawberries.

Alternatively, bake a shallow angel food cake.

Ice the sides of the angel food cake, then pile the top with whipped cream and berries.
