Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 ½ cups flour
- 2 cups raisins
- 3 cups dried apples, soaked overnight and chopped fine
- 2 cups molasses

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.

Dissolve the baking soda in the milk and add it to the creamed mixture.

Beat in the eggs, then gradually mix in the flour.

Stir in the raisins and the stewed apples.

Pour the batter into a pan and bake for 1.5 hours.
