  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 3/4 cup chopped dates or raisins
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion, garlic, lemon peel, salt, pepper, curry powder, turmeric and cinnamon. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in rice, dates and almonds. Stir well to blend; cook until thoroughly heated. Serve with grilled flank steak.
