Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanuts, roasted, shelled, skinned, and mashed (or simply use peanut butter)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne or 1 whole piment
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion

Directions

Put peanut paste, water, salt, and cayenne in saucepan.

Simmer for 10 minutes.

Sauté onion in oil until yellow; add to sauce.

Stir and simmer for another 10 minutes.
