Ingredients
- 1 pound. shrimps, cleaned and de-veined
- 2 onions
- Blend together to a smooth paste
- 1 small piece ginger
- 10 flakes garlic
- 3-4 black peppercorns
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 6 red chillies
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup thick tamarind
- juice or 2 tablespoon vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Cooking oil
Directions
Slice with a sharp knife and fry the onions in a pan until done. Add the ground masala and fry till the oil begins to separate.
Now add the shrimps and salt and some water and simmer for a while. Bring to a boil.
Add more vinegar if required and boil till done.
